I
am being SWAMPED with emails asking questions for which answers
are READILY AVAILABLE on the website.
If you still can't find an answer and your question is related to poultry in general, such as "How do I build a chicken coop?", or "What color eggs do Malay chickens lay?", or "my hen is acting funny", please join the PoultryHelp group on YahooGroups.com to ask the question. We have many regular visitors who check the Group's messages and are more than qualified to answer your poultry questions. These are links to pages where you can find answers to the most asked questions: HOW
DO I BUILD A CHICKEN COOP?: Poultry

If you have taken the time to look for answers to your questions on the website and still can't find them, then do please contact me using one of the methods detailed below. If the information you need is on the website, I'll likely just give you the link to the appropriate website page. I really try to do everything I can to help, but I do have a life (I think?). We check our email on the ISP's Mail Server before downloading it to our computer. As of April, 2004 we are getting about 160 messages a day. Most of these, of course, are spam advertisements and deleted from the Mail Server before we actually download them. About 20-30 a day are viruses, and also deleted. If you want your email read, put something pertinent to chickens in the subject line. Messages with a subject line of "Hello" or "Hi" or "Important, please help" or blank subject lines will be deleted without being read. Recent VIRUSES (Bagle, Netsky, etc) use these in their Subject lines. Click HERE to read more about recent Virus activity, then use your browser's BACK botton to come back here. Due to the enormous number of spam messages we have been getting recently we've stopped forwarding mail from our domain names. The only email that will get to me at present is to K5PRT (at) ARRL (dot) net. This is a new email address effective August 2008. Change (at) to @ and (dot) to . to get the address. Please dont send me an email with a whole slew of questions. You will likely not get an answer. It takes considerable time for me to respond to emails. Due to my stroke in April 2003, I am in a wheelchair and my right side is paralyzed. I am right handed, so I can only peck the keyboard with one finger of my left hand which is very tiring. To report a problem with this website, or a broken link, please email us at the address above and include in the message what Web Browser you're using, what the problem was and what page it was on. Most of our links pages have a "Broken Link Notification" button on the bottom that will email us and automatically put the name of the html page that it's on in the subject line of your message. To recommend a website or page you think should be included in one of our links pages, please email us with the website name, URL and what category it should be in. We will visit the site and hen place it on the appropriate links page. We will link to family friendly, child safe sites only. We will not link to ANY site that contains profanity, nudity, promotes drug use, violence, anarchy, or other forms of illegal or anti-social behavior. If you should find anything inappropriate for family browsing on a site linked from one of our pages, PLEASE EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY at the address above so that I can remove the link. If you have a poultry website and would like to exhange links, see Link Exchange below.
The Poultry Help Line Message Board on Poultryhelp.com was permantly shut down on 22 November 2005. This was due to a rash of spam advertising uploaded to the board from Europe and Russia among other places. They have totaled over 100 a day in the last few days. The message board software (wwwboard) does not provide routines for filtering spam, certain words, or users. It has become more than I can handle. The Poultry Help Line link now goes to a screen with instructions and a link to join our group, Poultryhelp@YahooGroups.com. PoultryHelp group on YahooGroups.com It's been decided to use the existing PoultryHelp group on yahoogroups.com to take the place of the Poultry Help Line because it has much better filtering provisions. It stopped two ads the first day. Click HERE to visit the PoultryHelp group's Yahoo home page and read archived messages. If you join, please check
messages often to be sure people get answers to their questions in a timely
manner.
If you would like your own website listed among our links, we would be happy to do it if you would be kind enough to place a link to POULTRYHELP.COM on your web page. For more info about linking to our website, please see our "Link to Us" page and email us the info for your website. There are graphics and banners there you can use. Thanks!! Most
pages of this site that include links to other sites have a button on the
bottom that reads: "BROKEN LINK". If you try a link and get an error message
or it takes you to a different page than was indicated, please email us
immediately using the "BROKEN LINK" button ON THAT PAGE. This will
provide the filename of the page you were on in the subject line. With
the website now consisting of over 400 pages, it would be nearly impossile
to find a broken link without knowing the page it was on. We have
also had two occasions where a link (domain) that was "chicken based" when
a link was posted, sold the name to a site hosting Pornography. If
you should find this, please email me immediately so the link can be removed
ASAP. Rest assured, if this happens, this was NOT done on purpose.
If you really insist, you can still send me mail the old fashioned way through the U.S. Postal Service at:
