Craft Eggs
NO LONGER AVAILABLE - Page remains so folks can see what can be done with "blown eggs"

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NO LONGER IN THE POULTRY BUSINESS.  JUSTINE HAS FILED FOR DIVORCE AND WE HAVE SOLD ALL THE BIRDS AND MOST OF THE GOATS BECAUSE I'M IN A WHEELCHAIR AND CAN'T CARE FOR THEM.  THE WEBSITE WILL REMAIN AS A SOURCE OF POULTRY RAISING INFORMATION, BUT PLEASE IGNORE ANY REFERENCE TO EGG OR POULTRY SALES. THE EGG/BIRD SALES PAGES WILL BE REMOVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Kitchen table !!

Justine wants her kitchen table back !!!  These are eggs that have exceeded the 5 day hatchability "window" during peak egg production in the summer.

We do not sell any eggs for hatching that are over 5 days old.  We often have hatching eggs from various breeds of fowl that don't get sold before they reach this point.  These will be made available to "Eggers" when we have them.  Please contact us for availability of what you want or watch this page for updates or sign up for our E-Mail Newsletter to receive email updates.

WE DO NOT BLOW EGGS!  Eggs sold as craft eggs are whole eggs which the purchaser must blow and sanitize themselves.  They are not washed or treated in any way which may affect their suitability for crafting.  We candle every egg to insure it is suitable for blowing and not spoiled.

A list of our eggs suitable for crafters is to the right and a photo of the eggs showing comparative size and color is below.

EGG ART EXAMPLES:
Click on the links below to see samples of what people have created with our eggs.

Pysanky Eggs - Gail Lambka
MoonShaddow Egg Art - Beth LeBlanc

If you're an "Egger" and would like us to post pictures of your completed projects using OUR eggs, we would be glad to do so and provide you with a plug.  Send us the photos and we'll post them as we have time.

Listed by size from smallest to largest
Coturnix Quail

About quarter sized, mostly light tan with dark brown "cow" spots all over them, some also have a blue or lavender dusty appearance. See photo below.

Bantam chicken eggs:
These are smaller than "SMALL" graded eggs.  They vary from white to beige depending on breed.  .

Guinea fowl eggs:
These are excellent for craft eggers as they have a VERY thick shell, about 4 times as thick as a chicken egg, and are great for carving.  They vary from very light tan to dark beige and sometimes have patches of darker color or tiny spots.

Standard white chicken eggs:
You can get these at your local grocery store and save us the trouble of packing and shipping them.

Standard brown chicken eggs:
You can get these at your local grocery store and save us the trouble of packing and shipping them.

CRAFT EGG SHIPPING:  Please add the packing/ shipping charges posted for hatching eggs HERE to the egg prices from this page to calculate total cost for craft egg orders.  If unsure, contact us for an exact quote.  Chicken/Guinea and quail eggs must be shipped in separate boxes as the quail eggs are very delicate.

NOTE: As of February 2007 we are no longer in the poultry business.  This page remains to give others a chance to see what can be done with "Blown" eggs.

Coturnix Quail Eggs
Coturnix quail eggs - wide range of coloration and no two alike!
Chicken eggs in front and Ameraucana eggs in the rear

Comparative size of eggs - Click for Larger Image
Photo of craft eggs showing comparative size and color. The coin is a U.S. quarter dollar (25 cents) for reference.
Click on the photo to see a larger picture with a bit more detail. The colors don't show up nearly as well as we'd like them to.
