JACK(POT),
the Quarter Horse Gelding
| Since Justine now had a horse, we put out the word that we were looking for another one. Our neighbor Bill Holley told us that he had purchased a horse for Victor, one of his ranch hands, but he preferred to ride his 4-wheeler. He said he'd bring him over and let us try him for a while. Victor named ALL his animals Jack and this horse was Jack #2. He says he did it so something would come whenever he hollered "Jack!" We decided to lengthen it to Jackpot, but we still call him Jack for short (or Jacka.. if he misbehaves). During the first 30 minute attempt at riding him, he tried to buck me off twice! He wasn't successful, but it sure made me sore (in more ways than one)! I've had many spunky horses over the years, but it's been quite a while since I've ridden anything with just one horsepower. |

He's actually falling asleep !! |
Sara came over to see what's going on. |
We added a couple more cattle panels and made him a 10ft x 24ft stall next to Sara's in the old barn. |

Sara's jealous! She used to have the barn to herself. |
