| We had to do something to protect the trees, vegetable gardens and flowerbeds. Last year between the sheep, goats and chickens, we didn't have a garden long. Justine refused to plant anything until we got a fence up. Soooo we called around and got the best quote and had 150 feet of chain link fence installed to surround the back yard and keep the critters out of the goodies. There are two gates, one is 10 feet wide so we can drive the tractor or truck through it when necessary, and one is 4 feet wide for us to come and go between the house and the barn. |
Butthead is highly upset that he can't get into the back yard anymore. |
This is why the fence went up. The goats killed several trees we planted last year by chewing the bark off them and we're having to replace them this year. Here's a new Plum tree ready to be planted and a sack of white marble chunks. |
Northwest corner. This is the 4 foot gate for us to come and go between the house and the barn. That's the new plum tree in the above right photo, now planted. |
Northeast corner. Butthead is still pacing back and forth. The tree in the corner is a Bartlett pear and Justine has a couple of other flowering plants in the white pots with a birdbath between them. |
Northwest corner again, this time taken from the back wall of the house so you can see where the goldfish pond is located. The Pigeons are flying around. |
North side stretch is 80 feet long. Beautiful Texas sunset sky over the barn. |
