1. We fill sufficient quantities of either 10 pack or 24 pack cartons available from GQF to fill the days orders. These are ten-packs. |
2. This is a close-up of the plastic ten-pack carton from GQF. |
3. We place two layers of paper towel over the eggs and close the cover with either tape or staples. This keeps the eggs from moving inside the carton. In the 24 egg cartons, we use pine shavings to keep the eggs from moving and staple them shut. |
4. We roll the 10 pack carton in several layers of 3/16 inch (small) bubble wrap, fold it over the ends for extra protection and tape it. The 24 pack gets rolled in large bubble wrap. |
5. We line the bottom and sides of an oversized shipping box with either bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper, or other suitable shock-absorbent padding. We also place large bubble wrap between layers of these egg "cocoons". |
6. Finally we enclose the order form or shipping document and a copy of our NPIP Certification. We then add additional padding to the top and securely tape the box shut. A large shipping label is added and "FRAGILE - Hatching Eggs" stickers are placed on all sides of the box. |
