Cleaning up on 05 June 2004

A severe electrical storm, moved through here the night of 04 June 2004, bringing with it winds of over 60 MPH. It was moving slowly and lasted almost two hours.  It snapped off a large limb from the hackberry tree in the back yard and broke our new 20 foot flagpole in the front yard at the joint of the first and second sections.

Justine rearranged the flagpole sections and it's now back up at 15 feet. See also cut up the fallen limbs with an electric chainsaw in about two hours and my GMC pickup truck bed was plumb full when she got though!  I guess we were lucky the damage wasn't a whole lot worse.  We found out the next day a tornado had hit Belton, TX pretty hard about 30 miles from here.
