| Welcome to our workshop. Both Justine and I like to tinker with do-it-yourself projects and crafts and I do nearly all repairs needed on the house and vehicles, so Santa has been good to us with power toys , er.. I mean tools. (Freudian slip??) To the right is my 1985 S-10 Chevy pickup in front of the workshop. That old truck has over 300,000 miles on the original engine, never overhauled and it still doesn't burn any oil (although it does leak some). I try to change oil and filter in our vehicles at least once a month. You can just see the air compressor (orange hose) Santa brought us this Christmas inside the door. | ![]() |

| The
left side of the workshop toward the front is for table power tools.
Drill press, table saw, Radial arm saw, Compound Miter Saw, Bench sander
and Scroll saw. Some of these tools are in the new barn now in preparation
for building more pens this spring.
In the back on this side is an 'electronics' workbench for electrical/electronic projects with test equipment like oscilloscope, meters, soldering station, etc. |
The
right side has a full length workbench made of 2x4 lumber with a two-layer
thick plywood top on 4"x4" legs. As you can tell, it needs a bit
of straightening up... (doesn't everyone's?) Underneath the bench
are boxes to store categorized supplies like electrical parts, paint cans,
drill accessories, spray paint, caulking tubes, also some more hand power
tools in carrying cases. The 5 HP air compressor sits on the floor
at the end of this workbench.
I'll take some more pictures when I get it straightened up some... Are you holding your breath??? |
Dewalt 12 Volt Cordless Drills You've just GOT to have 2 of these (we have 3). One with a 3/16 inch drill bit loaded (for starter/pilot holes) and one with a #2 Phillips screwdriver bit. With just one drill, you'll spend more time changing bits than getting the job done. |
Pro-Tech 10 Inch Compound Miter Saw For cutting all 2x and 4x lumber |
Delta 10 Inch Bench Saw For ripping 2x lumber, cutting plywood, and dado cuts. |
I actually had the workshop
clean at Christmas, 2001, but didn't get any photos before it got dirty
again...
