Our Workshop - Page 2
Barn
21 February 2004

Justine's stepdad, David, passed away in 2003 of inoperable brain tumors.  He sold off all his power tools after the tumors were discovered and it was determined he had less than 6 months.  We purchased some of them to help him out even though we didn't really need them. As well as the Craftsman bench saw, Ryobi planer and Craftsman jointer below, we acquired an arc welder, power washer, air hoses and a lot of miscellaneous tools and accessories.  Justine was cutting out wood today in the workshop, so I got her to take some new pictures.

Our workshop from the back door of the house.  We had major winds 2 weeks ago and it tore off some of the rolled roofing.  We purchased tin roofing last week but it wasn't installed until March 17.  See next page for photos of that project. Justine's using the band saw in the workshop door to the right.

The Delta Band Saw just outside the workshop. Nearly all power tools are mounted on stands so they can be carried outside for use to limit the amount of sawdust to be cleaned up in the workshop. My '89 GMC pickup in the background. Justine wants a bigger workshop BBAAADD!!

Ryobi 12 inch wide Planer on it's stand. Behind it is the electronics workbench with parts cabinets and test equipment.

Craftsman Jointer-Planer on it's stand.

DeWalt DW-723 Miter Saw Stand Justine got for Christmas this year.  She just took it out of the box and set it up today.  She got the saw (see right) for her birthday last July (2003).

DeWalt 12 inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw still in the kitchen, never been used.  Awaiting someone to help carry it out to the workshop and mount it on its stand in the left photo.  Being in a wheelchair, I can't help.

Justine cut these out of 3/4" plywood today with the DeWalt Sabre saw.  They will require a bit of sanding before they're ready for painting. This will be Santa in his sleigh next Christmas. Behind the wood, left to right, Delta 10" Bench saw with gas can below, Drill Press (orange), Delta 21" Scroll Saw, and Black & Decker/ DeWalt 10" Radial Arm Saw purchased back in 1972.

Craftsman 10 inch Circular Bench Saw sitting on the workbench.  We have a stand for it, but we just haven't mounted it yet.
